Nearly,'very' nearly Panda/NG standards! Lovely model in this Virgin livery !!

Well where do you start! First of all well done Phoenix, this is a VAST improvement to other A330-300's of the past! Phoenix have always done good A330's but never at the standards of NG or Panda models of this aircraft! This time though you can clearly see the improvements in attention to detail and transfers on engine covers, paint, etc.Even tyres are perfect on the bogies. No irregular shaping etc.

Why i have given this model a 5 when really its should be a 4 is i like the paint job! Its very interesting this constant arguement within Brands and collectors on this Virgin Livery over the special white paint and the cherry red metallic paint used on the engines and tail-fin. On this model and with all Phoenix they use a much pinker red to Gemini jets choice of shade that is actually closer to the real thing in life but the white paint Phoenix uses a sort of dulled-white looks more like the real paint on the planes in real-life too!?? Whether either are close to the real selected shade i am not 100% sure but even so Gemini Jets special white paint on their A350-1000 1:400 scale is probably nearer to the real paint ,on the eye the Phoenix looks closer! I for one prefer the red shade Phoenix have used, its lovely even so its too pink for the real livery but i do not care it looks great and better to the Gemini jets version but both manfacturers do a good job on the Virgin liveries,i like them both actually ,the red on the Phoenix is exquisite! I really cannot wait for them to do a A330-900NEO at either scale as Virgin Atlantic choose that over the much expected order for B787-10's ??

Whether or not a B787-Super 11 will ever happen i am not sure even so its been talked much of on some forums to do with aviation but Virgin do like them big so who knows maybe thats what they are really awaiting for! Besides that, this model is excellent and really looks like a Panda version so well worth buying if you are an Virgin Atlantic model collector! Its strange with Phoenix they do alot of HIT & MISS of late! There A340-300 black Swiss Hi-fly was a triumph, there A340-600 Virgin big Thankyou was better than the Gemini jets version then they go and do a terrible Etihad F1 B787-9 1:400 model that was way TOO DARK/Dull and just as bad is theGulf Air B787-9 engine cover colour failure?? Its amazing with Phoenix sometimes excellent then average! This inconsistency is not good but this model is above.
